The system of artificial intelligence, computer observation and plant growth sensors will automate the cultivation of products in the greenhouse.
The American startup iUNU has developed a system called LUNA, which uses artificial intelligence, computer observation and plant growth sensors. The system detects even minor changes that may cause potential problems and provide relevant guidance. For three years, the company developed and then tested the LUNA system in large commercial greenhouses.
In August 2017 iUNU already invested $ 6 million, now it will receive another $ 7.5 million. In the state of the company – 35 people, iUNU has clients in nine US states and two provinces of Canada.
LUNA works on both computers and mobile devices. This allows you to constantly receive analytics on the state of crops in the greenhouse. Thus, the farmer can constantly control the conditions in the greenhouse.
Each year, the greenhouse market is increasing, so their owners are trying to find a solution to optimize management and improve production efficiency. The iUNU solution allows you to solve this problem. The main idea of system developers is to make plant cultivation similar to industrial production.
In addition, iUNU began to develop high-tech, energy-efficient plasma lamps for use in greenhouses. Lamps will be run directly by the LUNA system to create conditions that will be optimal for growing crops.
